There are two leadership clubs, Queens College Leadership Club and Wesley Leadership Club. The club activities take place in Queens College, Yaba and Wesley Girls Senior Secondary School, Yaba respectively.
The aim of the club is to teach each of the girls to cherish the demanding ideals of human virtue, responsibility and leadership and to motivate her to strive for excellence in all her personal pursuits. Through the club, the girls learn to be authentic leaders by living a spirit of service to others.
The club offers a weekly program of activities including learning study techniques, etiquette, aerobics, cookery, dance and drama, sports, games, excursions and picnics, sewing and embroidery, knitting, career talks, tie and dye and other arts and crafts, musical get-togethers, debates and essay competition with other clubs, cultural seminars etc.
The club is coordinated and supervised by university students and professionals who dedicate part of their time to help the girls develop humanly, culturally and professionally in a warm, fun-filled setting. Each week, one of the coordinators gives a brief talk on some virtue or aspect of character building, giving practical suggestions to the girls on how to improve in that virtue in their everyday lives. Topics include: self-mastery, personal responsibility, respect for others, loyalty, truthfulness, study, industriousness, etc.
